Vertical and automatic tracking louvers visually dominate the picture at the new Evolution Park of TGW. All 4 facades are equipped with the movable sun protection across the entire surface. Almost 200 motors ensure perfect shading and precise louver tracking and synchronous positioning. Not an everyday challenge that Elconeq's SMEConcept masters with flying colours. The control system is divided into floor and facade sections and into groups according to the use of the room.

Sun tracking aluminium louvers as a sun shading system, positioned in front of the facade and arranged on 4 floors and all 4 facades, should efficiently reduce the considerable heat loads of the transparent building envelope. At the same time, a partial transparency of the louvers should ensure transparency and gain daylight. The aim was to achieve a balance between summer thermal insulation and daylight supply. At the same time, the architecture and building aesthetics should be highlighted.
System
The decision was made in favour of an operable, sun tracking louver curtain made of perforated and coated aluminium sheets, arranged as vertical louvers. All louvers move synchronously. The intelligent control concept from Elconeq ensures precise tracking and allows manual override for individual rooms. With only one 'control intelligence', all floors and all facade sections are operated simultaneously. Depending on the position of the sun, any facade is optimally shaded or daylight is directed into the rooms.
