Request
Sun tracking aluminium louvers for the space of the double-skin facade of the library's western facade, arranged in the upper part of the room. The louver system covers a length of 18m with 60 louvers, a louver width of 300mm and a height of 4.000mm. The completely opaque louvers prevent incidence of radiation and light and avoid overheating and glare. All louvers move synchronously. Operation must be silent. Backlash-free slat mechanism must be guaranteed.
System
The hollow section louver – socalled aerofoils - system features 300mm wide and 50mm deep louvers, white matt coated in PVDF Kynar, as a 2-layer application, for improved reflection and for architectural considerations. Whisper-quiet DC drive technology coupled with ball-bearing louver pivots lead to almost powerless positioning technology. Motor and kinematics are concealed. The control system has a decentralised design and consists of the central unit with display and the small distributors with the motor control units including the necessary transformers.
